We are setting up a donations link and hope it will be live very soon.  In the meantime, if you’d like to donate, we would be extremely grateful.  Please get in touch with Ali via chair@dcp.org.uk.

Helping Families, Children & Young People and the wide Didcot Community.

Our Mission

Didcot is growing at a phenomenal rate:  the population will have tripled in 30 years by 2028.  Until recently there were many community groups and organisations, each contributing enthusiasm, expertise and encounters/experiences that enriched local life.  However, within the last 5 years, and certainly during the Covid 19 pandemic, needs have exceeded provision in almost every area of civic life.

As an organisation formed by local community leaders, the DCP recognises that we can promote and help develop a clear, joined up vision for people and organisations involved in building the Didcot community. As growth continues, the community will become stronger and more cohesive by working together – we think that this creates a much more powerful case when influencing decision makers.

We intend to build on existing connections in order to influence things like the development of Didcot Garden Town, future usage of Developers’ CIL monies, decision making regarding new community buildings, the content of Local Plans, etc.

We are establishing associations with other local charities/organisations and this naturally has the potential to achieve mutual goals and ambitions.  Additionally, as we find funding we are ourselves undertaking work within the community as shown in our Business Plan.

We look for your support as we move forward with our plans…  for more detail please see our Business Plan here.
